1. Health Care
A major medical technology company that serves healthcare institutions, life science researchers, clinical laboratories, industry and the general public. It manufactures and sells a broad range of medical supplies, devices, laboratory equipment and diagnostic products.
Diabetes Software was developed for company’s new line of blood glucose monitoring products introduced in early 2003 . This diabetes management software sets a new standard in ease of use, data management, graphical presentation of glucose and insulin data for pattern management, and provides a patented single-step meter download capability that is truly unique in the industry. Client needed a qualified and flexible IT firm to define the complete verification and validation methodology and prepare the V&V documentation for FDA approval.
Vaktech helped assess the software for software quality assurance purposes. It defined the complete V&V methodology and executed the approved verification and validation techniques to validate the software according to the customer needs and prepared the complete necessary documentation with detailed verification and validation results from scratch for FDA submission. Due to our documentation efforts the company got the FDA approval in record time. Vaktech defined Verification and Validation approach that was quick, cost-effective and best suited the
problem. The defined Verification and Validation methodology was ideal for the software.
The client was able to rapidly roll out its software and expand its offering because it did not need to build either the initial infrastructure or the knowledge base for the software quality assurance. The company continues to benefitt from reduced complexity, while meeting its customers’ needs

Vaktech’s team successfully re-organized the architecture of the website to make it more efficient. Vaktech also contributed to a number of other projects to provide Ameritrade customers with better features, which include the Integration of the Ameritrade site with On-Money.com and the Implementation of Electronic Stock Market Trade Confirmations. Vaktech contributed in testing the conversion of Wireless trading to the Jaguar architecture, Wireless Meta language on various browsers, real time customer account updates, Automated Cash Disbursement, electronic statements automation and electronic trade confirmations.
This architecture improved Ameritrade’s capacity and performance and boosted Ameritrade to a top position in the industry. Amnesty International (AI) is a worldwide organization of people who campaign for human rights. Their work is based on careful research and on the standards agreed by the international community. They are independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest or religion. They have more
than one million members, supporters and subscribers in over 140 countries.
AI has its media headquarters located in New York and its research headquarters located in London. Everyday the official website, amnesty.org, was updated manually with the research information provided from London. The existing architecture was a 2-tier one with a lot of data redundancy and security lapses. They needed a new system to correct these problems and make the Web site dynamic, to quickly transfer research observations to the website for faster action. The new system needed to automate and speed up the updating process that involved research reports delivered to an office for data entry.
To make that happen, Vaktech worked closely with Amnesty International personnel to analyze the existing system, gather detailed user requirements, perform business process analysis, streamline the methodology, help design the reporting form templates, design secure Web-based Application Architecture and develop the database that would serve as the central repository for research information. Vaktech team developed the interface application and the synchronization capability needed, using Lotus Domino platform, to update the database in real-time with information from the field and London offices of AI. JSP technology was used to represent the dynamic data on Web. Password was introduced for authentication at front-end level
and authorization at database level to provide high-level system security.
The new system did away with redundant data entry, data backlog and inefficient searches for information, while providing a higher level of security. Members had instant access to the field research data from around the world. Crucial reports could run automatically on a daily or weekly basis. The centralized database made sure that every user in the organization is reachable, so that proper data control is assured.
